I'm not afraid for myself. I'm worried for my pack. They're just kids, and they'd never willingly hurt anyone. Unless this place does something, their anchors are strong and you won't have to worry about them.
Your pack is your family. It makes sense that you'd want to protect them, just like I want to look out for my family.
I don't know what kind of hunters you've known in the past. I do my job, but not indiscriminately. I haven't had to do it here, aside from the monsters Wonderland itself has thrown at us. I'm planning to keep it that way. You say you're protectors, not killers. Well, so am I.

There's a Code, where we're from, that hunters are supposed to follow. They're only supposed to hunt werewolves who do harm, so long as there's proof. They don't kill younger werewolves, especially children. Above all else, they don't kill humans that're involved with the pack. Some families follow it, but these days most don't. They'll kill an entire pack, wolves and humans alike, and call it a service.
So I want to believe you, the same as you want to believe me.
We both have plenty of reason to be wary. If we want to believe each other, then all we can really do is wait and see if we're good to our word. Maybe after awhile you'll be able to trust me.
About the only thing that we can do. Trust takes time without unfortunate circumstances attached. If it's any comfort I don't have any intentions of telling anyone what happened.
